Cozinha Solidaria

Food insecurity often hides in plain sight. We tend to assume it only touches people struggling with addiction or living on the margins. But most people that are in need of a meal is just a regular people that going through a difficult times. It might be a retiree stretching a modest pension, a parent weighing rent against groceries, or someone between jobs, waiting for things to turn around. They just got in a situation where they need additional support to help going through the times they are having.

We can’t solve everything, but we can make sure that at least once a week, someone receives a hot, home-cooked meal.

Each week, our volunteers prepare real meals from scratch, nothing pre-packaged. Thanks to our partnership with REFOOD, those meals are delivered still warm to people identified and supported by local social services, so every meal reaches someone who genuinely needs it.
